But in this post, I will write about some of the most popular Throne of Glass fanfiction according to hits received on Archive Of Our Own.

Keep reading to find out more about some of these popular stories.

1. The Inclining of Stars

This is a story where the characters are given their own books to read.

Rowan is fighting for his wife when he receives a stack of books from the Gods.

These books take him back to the past and his wife’s past as well.

And it tells him how he will be able to destroy everything and save her.

It is a very interesting concept and combines the current with the past in a great way.

The writer did deviate from the canon, but it seemed to help the story for the author’s purposes.

It is part one of the “Blessed be the wicked” series and contains 53 chapters.

2. Noisy Neighbors

This story strays very much from the original books.

Aelin and Rowan are living in a world more like our own.

And they are in a rock band together, conquering the world with music.

Because they are together so much, they don’t always see eye to eye, but they are friends.

Then one day Aelin gets into an accident which leaves her unable to perform anymore.

But with Rowan’s help, she recovers from her depression.

This story is part 1 in the “Noisy Neighbours AU” series.

It consists of 6 stories, so if this sounds interesting, you may want to check those out as well.

3. The Warrior and the Embers

This story follows the Heir of Fire book, but from Rowan’s perspective.

It gives a look at Rowan’s life before meeting Aelin.

But also after he met her and starts to train her.

We get a nice insight into his thoughts and feelings, which gives the original book a whole new meaning.

The story also has some spoilers for the books after Heir of Fire.

So I recommend you read all the books first.

the story is finished and contains 39 chapters in total.

4. It Takes Two

This story shows Aelin and Rowan in the ‘normal’ world.

After an eventful night, Aelin and Rowan end up together in bed.

But this can have great consequences for their friendship.

And neither of them knows how to deal with it, especially when it turns out that one night can change everything.

This is part 1 in the “It takes two” series.

It has two parts so far, so if this sounds interesting, be sure to check that out as well.

The unplanned pregnancy trope is also in this story.

5. A Lion’s Pride

This is a collection of short stories mostly about Aedion and Gavriel.

The story follows after the last battle.

And Terrassen is finally free but has to be rebuild.

Every short story follows events that happen while rebuilding the city and their family.

It is a lovely combination of stories and gives these characters an extra dimension.

This is part 1 in the “Throne family” series.

So make sure to check out the rest if you liked this one.

6. Snakes and Daggers

This story is a take on what would have happened if the Valg was dealt with in the right way.

The writer did stick to a lot of the canon and only changed those aspects and the consequences of it.

It is an interesting take on the books, especially because it changes a lot.

The development of the characters of Aelin and Rowan is affected by this change as well making them a slightly softer version of themselves.

This isn’t a bad thing at all and gives it a whole new dynamic.

The story is 42 chapters long and really interesting if you want to check it out.

7. Nameless

celaena sardothien Throne of Glass Fanart fanfiction

This story is a crossover between Throne of Glass and A Court of Mist and Fury.

It takes place after ACOMAF and Empire of Storms, so there will be some major spoilers in this story.

Celaena is thrown into the Spring court, broken and bleeding.

Feyre does everything she can to help her even though Tamlin does not want to interfere with this strange girl.

Much is unclear about what happened and where Celaena has come from.

And she is terrified as well, not knowing if she can trust these fae.

This is a really interesting crossover with some great elements taken from the books and turned into something completely new.

I highly recommend reading this story if you loved both series.

The story is 24 chapters long and is easy to read.

8. The Warrior and the Wildfire

This story is really Queen of Shadows from Rowan’s point of view.

The writer also switches it up with some other POVs, but Rowan is the main character.

The story follows canon for most parts, just from Rowan’s point of view.

But the writer also added a few things of their own to make it even more interesting.

This story is part two in the “Warrior and the Embers” series.

So make sure to check out the first part as well if this one sounds intriguing.

This part is 24 chapters long, but parts are under revision.

9. Dreaming On Your Feet

This story also takes place in a more modern setting than the original books.

It is Throne of Glass but set in the world of professional ballet.

Aelin is one of the newest company members of the Rifthold Ballet Theatre.

This is what she has always been dreaming of, and she is really good at ballet.

Even though she is a private person and nobody seems to get under her skin, one person does.

That is the new principal dancer Rowan Whitethorn.

He’s arrogant, talented, infuriating, and worst of all, they are so much alike.

This story has 35 chapters and over 19,000 hits.

10. Fly & Aim

This story also takes place in an alternate world from the original books.

Aelin finally starts her first semester at the University of Terrasen.

She will follow in her father’s footsteps as the most prominent athlete in Erilea.

Aelin wants to join the official volleyball team and club.

However, she gets rejected from the group by the club president, Rowan Whitethorn.

Thus, marking the start of their passionate hatred toward each other.

This is part 1 of the “Fly and Aim AU” series.

So again, if this summary sounds interesting, you might want to check out the rest of the series as well.
